Our first instinct may be to think that the child doesnt like the toy or any toy but thats usually not the problem. Apparently this is a way they learn theyre called schemas and my boy is predominantly Trajectory schemas. Either they are too used to toys where they dont have to think and need to build up a growth mindset about sticking with hard things like toys where they need to problem solve or other times a child simply isnt ready for the skills it takes to play with a toy.
Age-appropriateness is a major factor when it comes to how much a child enjoys a toy.
